This is a 4 piece set of Beautiful Sapele Mahogany & Red Oak Pen Blanks, suitable for the majority of pen making kits/hardware. Sapele shares the same botanical family as American and African Mahogany. Native to the rain forests of West Africa and Sapele is commonly found in Ghana, Nigeria and Tanzania.Red oak, is an oak tree in the red oak group. It is a native of North America, in the eastern and central United States and southeast and south-central Canada. Both types of wood are easy to work with and the finished product is pleasant to the eye. Each piece is 3/4" x 3/4" x 5 inch long, NOT predrilled. You can drill and then turn the rod on the lathe to your specifications. These pieces can be cut to fit a lot of your project needs. We also carry other exotic wood.
